Hi, I have a mk5 GTi in Graphite blue and I am about to get the original Monza'#039s refurbished. Originally diamond cut but now in poor condition so was planning on getting them powder coated and doing a colour change. was thinking gloss black but was wondering if anyone has any advice on what colour to go for. I think I prefer powder coating as you supposed to get more longevity out

I have a jap spec mk5 gti, as you can tell by the name lol, and I hate the rear valance. I’ve searched far and wide for a jap spec rear valance. I cannot find one. Anyone got any ideas of what I can do?

Welcome & indeed a very fun car to drive 😉 Enjoy it! And as mentioned above… keep an eye on timingbelt, camfollower & chain. Plug a scantool on it. Regular fluid changes for engine and gearbox… and you’ll have fun forever😊

Plugs have been out, they look fine. Swapped those around too. Compression test i’ll do tomorrow although i doubt its low on compression simply because of the way its running, theres definitely no power loss and no smoke.

I have a MK5 1.6 FSI and it currently has a cat back exhaust on at the moment, I've done a bit of research and noticed it has 2 cats. I have looked into a decat pipe for the secondary cat and cant manage to find anything for the 1.6 fsi engine if any one knows where I can get a pipe from that would be great or even the dimensions I need to be able to get one fabricated

Just the dash rattling remains, between 1700-2200 RPM so you can ALW
